Sadly, the Canadian wildfire smoke has finally hit here in Chicago, so I thought it would be the perfect time to round up National Camping Month by escaping the city and hitting the open road with my tent thrown over my shoulder and walking stick in hand. Over the river and through the woods we go!
So, whether you’re a natural-born Scout or would rather opt for “glamping,” we just hope our techies brought a handy flashlight and compass — we don’t need any Blair Witch repeats in this week’s edition of Cloud Career Moves — the camping edition.

Samantha Lake, COO, ProNovos
Samantha Lake has been named COO at ProNovos, a cloud-based analytics, project-management and financial workflow solution. Samantha will be the company’s first COO and carries more than 16 years of experience in technology and organizational culture. Samantha is infamous on camping trips for her ghost stories, a flashlight shone under face, fire ablaze and all… could she be this generation’s R.L. Stine?
Jonathan Kaplan, CTO, OWIT Global
OWIT Global, a cloud-based microservices solution provider, named Jonathan Kaplan as CTO. Jonathan has over 30 years of experience working for technology companies and will lead the direction, advancement and delivery of OWIT’s product in his new role.
