Prism is currently in PoC stage in Cook Island with its New Zealand partner IQnexus. This project aims to provide a smart city Wi-Fi network that spans the entire island.
Prism also provided the Wi-Fi solution to support the anniversary celebration of the largest anonymous social network platform, with more than four million memberships, in Taiwan. For this party, a live-streaming interactive quiz contest was held and there were around 370 devices connecting to a Prism AP concurrently with real-time bursty traffic.
Indoor vs. Outdoor Applications of PRISM and PrismX™ Controller
For outdoor applications, the MO10 using included dual-band, dual- concurrent omni antennas provides at least 1,000 feet for each mesh- hop distance of Wi-Fi coverage for high-density scenarios, like sporting events and music festivals, where the simultaneous presence of many attendees will cause the demand in the area to spike. You also have the option to use a directional antenna for broad outdoor coverage. It can also provide consistent coverage in areas where there is a constant need for Wi-Fi, like school campuses, airports and hospitality venues with an outdoor area. Using the included mounting equipment, the MO10 can be installed easily anywhere you choose along the outside of the structure. The IP68 rating proves that the MO10 can withstand any weather conditions that arise. As the highest rating of protection against dirt, sand, water, and dust getting into the device, IP68 lets your organization rest assured that the MO10 can withstand whatever mother nature brings. Technically, the device could withstand being submerged in up to a meter of water without suffering damage.
For enterprises seeking interior coverage that offers the same level of coverage, Prism offers equipment to help. Indoor applications like hospitals, stores, corporate offices, and community centers use the MI10(Wi-Fi 6)/MI11(Wi-Fi 6E) for broad, tri-band Wi-Fi coverage that reaches every corner of the building. With the power to support large loads like those seen at corporations or school environments, MI10(Wi-Fi 6)/MI11(Wi-Fi 6E) provides Wi-Fi for up to 3,500 square feet. These routers reduce the chance of dead zones creeping up and making the network inaccessible in certain parts of the building. Prism MI12 Wi-Fi 6 AX6000 Dual-Band AP and MI13 Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 Dual-Band In-Wall AP will launch in mid to late 2022, moving the paradigm for enterprise Wi-Fi services forward yet again.
