AT&T offers free Wi-Fi in New York City parks

AT&T (NYSE:T) is embarking on a five-year initiative to provide free Wi-Fi service at 26 locations in 20 New York City parks across five boroughs. While AT&T is leveraging Wi-Fi as an important data offload tool, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the move advances some of the goals of Road Map for the Digital City, New York's comprehensive strategy to make the city the nation's leading digital city.
