Clearwire: WiMAX intermittently available in New York, Los Angeles

As it enters the final stages of its WiMAX expansion in New York City, Clearwire acknowledged that the service is already intermittently available there. The company said it has started "operational readiness activities" not only in New York, but also Los Angeles and San Francisco.
