Microsoft: Yahoo Mail to blame for excessive data consumption in some Windows Phone 7 phones

Microsoft said it has determined that Yahoo Mail is to blame for the data leak that prompted many Windows Phone 7 smartphones to inadvertently consume high amounts of data. Microsoft found that the problem stems from Windows Phone 7's Exchange Activesync software's failure to synchronize correctly with Yahoo Mail. "This inefficiency can result in larger than expected data usage for a very small percentage of users," Microsoft said in a statement. Article
