Report: LTE pricing plans encourage users to upgrade to 4G

A new report from Strategy Analytics highlights the range of LTE marketing message and pricing approaches across eight different LTE operators globally. The firm found that pricing approaches for modems run the gamut but they typically include introductory price discounts over 3G pricing plans to encourage users to upgrade to 4G. "Mobile operator marketing messages aim to motivate mobile users to upgrade to LTE by focusing on "faster" today, and promising new use cases in the future," said Sue Rudd, director, Wireless Operator Strategies at Strategy Analytics.
