Network and mobile device analytics Metrico Wireless pitted Verizon Wireless' (NYSE:VZ) LTE network against AT&T Mobility's (NYSE:T), finding that AT&T's average LTE speed are better than Verizon's, for now. The firm, which also found that LTE offers more than five times the performance of these carriers' respective 3G offerings, used five LTE handsets for its tests: the HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II on AT&T, and the HTC Thunderbolt, Samsung Droid Charge and Motorola Droid Bionic on Verizon's network.
