Analyst: RIM, Apple to partner on "AppleBerry"

Despite the unsavory, mixed-fruit metaphor, analyst Peter Misek may have hit on the next big Apple rumor: The "AppleBerry." Misek accurately predicted last year's tie up between RIM and Intel, and now a report in the Globe and Mail says Misek thinks RIM and Apple are looking to jointly develop a new device. The thinking is that each company has what the other lacks: RIM has a huge presence in the booming wireless data sector and Apple has more than a foothold in the consumer market. In a recent research note Misek said that senior Intel execs advised Apple to work with RIM.
