Apple: iPhone SDK and roadmap on March 6

Apple announced plans to release its long-awaited software development kit (SDK) for the the iPhone at a "town hall" meeting on March 6. As predicted, the event next month means that Apple did not make good on its original promise to make the SDK available by the end of February.

Apple also plans to unveil some "exciting new enterprise" features for the iPhone, which enterprise users hope include widely used email software like Microsoft's Exchange or IBM's Lotus Notes.
