According to a report from China's Ministry of Information Industry, the country claimed 368 million mobile phone users for July, marking a 4.8 million increase in users during August. India claimed just 57.4 million mobile phone subscribers at the end of June. Both countries boast populations of more than 1 billion. Hong Kong's China Mobile added 3.6 million subscribers in August, bringing is total subscriber base to 231 million.
