Consortium for indirect wireless dealers to launch

A new buying consortium and membership-based trade organization for indirect wireless dealers is hoping to barnstorm the International CTIA Wireless trade show next week. The group, called the Wireless Convergence Network (WiCON), is going to formally launch next Monday. The goal of the group is to pool resources of small- and medium-sized businesses within the dealer community and connect them to suppliers and vendors, giving members discounts on products and services. WiCON currently has around 25 members hopes to have 200 by year-end. WiCON currently counts HTC, Research In Motion, Samsung, Staples and Fed-Ex among its partners. Release
