Verizon Wireless and Sprint each announced separate deals with RIM for a BlackBerry "World Edition" that would allow the CDMA carriers' subscribers to roam on GSM networks overseas.

TW subs can now turn their routers into hotspots.

The deal is a big plus for Fon, which has had lots of success with European ISPs but so far has experienced limited traction in the states.
