Does Palm need a buyer?

Palm recently received another boost of support from its investor Elevation Partners in a stock resale. However, the launch of the much-anticipated Palm Pre will still be costly, according to technology analysis firm the 451 Group. In a report, the 451 Group suggests  that Palm may need to partner or even consider selling itself to a larger, more stable technology company to improve its cash position and get the Pre to multiple U.S. carriers by the end of 2009. Some of the potential buyers for the smartphone maker include Dell, HP or HTC. Report
