DOJ approves Alltel buy of Midwest Wireless

Alltel received the green light from the DOJ to acquire Midwest Wireless Holdings after agreeing to divest some of its assets in rural Minnesota. The assets include Alltel's mobile spectrum and customers in 28 rural counties. However, Alltel will not be required to sell assets in the counties if they only involve the provision of roaming services.
