Ericsson Q4: W-CDMA/GSM growth forecast cut

Ericsson released its fourth-quarter results today, which included a slightly modified outlook for its GSM/W-CDMA track: It expects mid-single digit growth, meaning around 5 percent, in 2007 instead of the previously forecasted growth of around 5 percent to 9 percent. The modified outlook dovetails with a report we covered yesterday from the Dell'Oro Group, which stated that W-CDMA will see "exceptional" growth in the longterm, while short-term growth will only eke along.
