Groove Mobile expands music downloads

Groove Mobile, which powers the Sprint Music Store, announced a worldwide licensing deal with global distributor and marketer of independent record labels, The Orchard. The deal gives Groove access to more full-track downloads. According to analysts, Groove needed to expand its music library of only 250,000 songs, which pales in comparison to those offered by competitive services, including Verizon's V Cast Music service, which aims to have a library of 1 million songs by this spring.
