IBC 2014 preview: TV Everywhere expected to dominate the conversation

The IBC 2014 convention will kick off next week in Amsterdam, and a key theme will be based around a question that cuts to the heart of the modern TV broadcasting landscape: Can traditional television survive the onslaught of nontraditional media? The conference's opening keynote, "Assessing the Health of Broadcast TV," faces the question head-on, with panelists including Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC Global, and Charlie Vogt, CEO of Imagine Communications, discussing broadcasting's new challenges. Other sessions will discuss whether mobile technology is destroying broadcasters' revenues, and if multi-platform delivery can ever truly replace over-the-air broadcasting. Our sister publications FierceCable and FierceOnlineVideo will be providing in-depth coverage from IBC next week, and to get ready for the show they have produced a preview of what to expect, from TV Everywhere to advertising and 4K video. Special report
