MetroPCS uses Interop OTA Management

MetroPCS will use Interop Technologies over the air device management solution in all of its U.S. markets. The company plans to deploy it in fourth quarter.
Interop says its OTA will help the operator quickly activate devices and deliver large-scale roaming list updates for subscriber handsets.
In other Interop news, the company has signed a deal with AdaptiveMobile to offer unified customer protection for consumers and enterprises to distribute AdaptiveMobile software to wireless operators.
As part of the deal, Interop will help operators protect underage subscribers from mobile Internet content that their parents consider inappropriate. Likewise, it will also help business customers extend corporate security policies to mobile devices. The software can be deployed as a hosted solution that works with the Interop WAP gateway or a third-party WAP gateway. -Sue
