Motorola releases Q phone update

Motorola released its long-awaited software update for the Q smartphone, currently sold through Verizon. The update includes the Microsoft Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) that enables push email, global contact hookup and security features such as remote device erase for users running on an Exchange 2003 sever. The update also allows Q customers to use the device as a modem for a laptop through either USB or Bluetooth. In addition to these new features, the update also includes bug fixes and improvements to existing applications such as the browser.
