MTV Networks launched a new, in-house mobile messaging platform designed to to deliver entertainment content and interactivity to consumers. MTV formed a partnership with SMS specialist mBlox to help them develop and launch the platform. This system will cover several of Viacom's cable network offerings including MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, CMT, Spike, and Logo. The services include cross-carrier mobile voting, polling, and sweepstakes entry. Channel specific content includes Comedy Central Premium Alerts such as jokes, insults, pick-up lines (I might need that one), and Daily Show headlines from Jon Stewart; VH1 Alerts include Best Week Ever content and This Day In Pop Culture; CMT Voting for Pick or Flick in their Top 20 countdown.
