New handsets: White Chocolate for Halloween

A new study from J.D. Power & Associates confirms what we already know: The branding of a handset has become increasingly important in today's market, while pricing still trumps all for the average mobile subscriber. Verizon is taking inspiration from trick or treaters and launching the white version of their popular LG handset, the Chocolate on Tuesday, which is Halloween. I have never associated white chocolate with the holiday before, but candy is candy. Check out White Chocolate photos here.

CrunchGear also has the first pic of the Nokia 870 (photo), the follow-up to the 770 (photo). The new phone supposedly includes a webcam, fancier VoIP functionality and a slight facelift.
