Nortel inked a partnership with Intel and Airspan Networks to offer mobile and fixed WiMax wireless broadband products. Intel will help Nortel promote WiMax technologies. Airspan will develop and market fixed wireless WiMax products. The company said the deal will complement its joint venture with LG that will combine LG's infrastructure and Nortel's distribution service businesses. WiMax products created by this deal are expected to launch by the start of next year with mobile WiMax products to follow by the end of next year.
