Rumor Mill: Windows Mobile 6 launch at 3GSM?

There has been quite a bit of buzz in the blogosphere about Windows Mobile 6 (codenamed Crossbow) making its official debut at 3GSM next week, but until now there wasn't the slightest shred of evidence. Modaco has the scoop that Microsoft had a webcast with Jim Wilson scheduled for February 14, 2007 (Day three of 3GSM) called: "MSDN geekSpeak: Windows Mobile 6 with Jim Wilson." Microsoft has since pulled the webcast from its scheduled line-up, but Modaco managed to secure a screenshot of it from Google's cache. The timing coupled with the intense Windows Mobile 6 noise points to a launch. Stay tuned to FierceWireless to see if this rumor comes to fruition, as we bring you the news live from 3GSM next week.
