How many applications double as a badge of pride for your favorite band? FierceDeveloper's latest Developer Workshop feature profiles Spark of Blue Software, which has created a series of customizable lighter applications that concert-goers can use to show their support for an artist. The firm started off with an app called the KISS Virtual Concert Lighter, which featured 24 official lighter cases, a scrolling text marquee, a flame that sways in relation to the user's hand movements, sound effects and a special "concert mode" complete with blazing flame and power chord. Spark of Blue has since added support for other artists, including rapper Lil' Wayne and hair-metal icon Def Leppard, which are all licensed via the firm's agreement with Live Nation.
