There was a lot of buzz last week about a pending $100,000 fine that the FCC plans to extract from Amp'd Mobile and others for allegedly not protecting customer phones records. An Amp'd spokesperson sent FierceWireless this statement regarding the issue: "There is no fine, just a proposed fine with the opportunity to discuss with the FCC. We think the proposed fine is based on a misunderstanding and believe we will be able to demonstrate that we have been in compliance with the CPNI Rules."
