SPOTLIGHT: Eye-Fi snags $5.5M for wireless photo transfer

Eye-Fi, which develops a WiFi memory card designed to upload and send photos from digital cameras to computers and social-networking sites, said it raised $5.5 million in a first round of financing. Eye-Fi's WiFi card replaces the SD card in the digital camera. When the card detects a WiFi network, it can send photos directly to a Mac or PC without any intervention from the user.
