Report: Integration will spur GPS chip sales
InStat reports that as more manufacturers incorporate GPS chips into their devices, the volume of GPS chip set sales will increase dramatically. Besides cell phones, In-Stat says that handheld games, portable media players and digital cameras will all start incorporating GPS technology. Sales of mobile devices with integrated GPS will grow from 180 million units in 2007 to 720 million units in 2011. Report
