Skyhook has introduced a public beta of Loki, a WiFi-based location finder. To enable the service, Skyhook sends trucks equipped with WiFi receivers, computers and GPS devices roaming around cities in the U.S. It then correlates the data together to allow public WiFi access point signals to provide relatively accurate latitude and longitude locations.
