SPOTLIGHT: VC: Handango snags more than $60 million

VCs know that the demand for smartphones should explode as operators get more aggressive about pushing them beyond the corporate market. As such, Handango received in excess of $60 million to propel itself in the smartphone content market. The funding was led by Institutional Venture Partners. Handango can leverage its some 16,000 content partners across more than 500 distribution channels. "The stars have truly aligned for Handango to create the category killer in smartphone content," said Randy Eisenman, CEO of Handango.
