Study: Android users consume the most data

Subscribers on smartphones running Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android platform consume more data than all other smartphone customers, including Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone subscribers, according to a new study by network management software solutions provider Arieso. According to the report, using the iPhone 3G as a benchmark for data use, newer smartphones can produce downlink data volumes 40 percent higher and uplink volumes 130 percent higher. Release
