TI teams with design firm for WiMAX

Texas Instruments said it will collaborate with India-based Tata Elxsi for an end-to-end baseband demonstration system for WiMAX 802.16e infrastructure products. The systems aims to speed time to market for mobile WiMAX basestations by combining both the hardware and software required for implementation, including an integrated Media Access Controller. Tata Elxsi is the design arm of the Tata Group.
