Security and mobile device management are the two biggest obstacles to adoption of new mobile devices like smart phones in the enterprise. Many IT leaders are holding off on new wireless devices and services until better security and management strategies are developed. The quest is to have the same level of security with handhelds and smart phones as with PCs. Mobile device technology, however, has jumped ahead with little consideration for the needs of IT managers.
