Virgin Mobile USA has restructured its offerings to the youth market it serves, introducing new voice and messaging offers that include prepaid buckets of minutes and bundles of text messages that in some cases cost a penny per text. The bucket of voice plans start at $15 per month for 100 minutes and go up to $60 a month of 600 minutes. CEO Dan Schulman told FierceWireless that the company interviewed some 6,000 young people to structure the new offer. "One of the things we have seen since we launched is that usage has gone up considerably. People used to talk between 100 and 300 minutes per month, now they are at between 300 and 500 minutes per month," he said.
