According to a press release from mobile email developer Visto, the company has been awarded $7.7 million in damages and an injunction on the sale of products by Seven Networks following a successful patent infringement case it won against Seven earlier in the year. Both the money and the injunction will be stayed until the appeals process is complete. According to a press release from Seven, a court in Texas threw out one of the five patent claims Visto asserted against Seven and dismissed a request from Visto to put the injunction on Seven products into effect immediately.
