Voda slashes data roaming fees

Vodafone Group slashed the data charges for subscribers who are roaming in other countries by introducing a flat-rate fee of about $14.80 starting in July. The news arrives on the same day that the European Commission encouraged the EU's telecom ministers to come to a consensus on plans to cap roaming fees in the region. A key caveat to Vodafone's new offering, however, is that the roaming flat-rate is only good for those subscribers in another country who are roaming on a Vodafone-owned network. O2 and 3 have each announced similar price changes for roaming subs in recent months.
